Direct Agents is looking for a highly strategic and results-driven Retail Media Strategist to lead growth planning and execution across key marketplace and direct-to-consumer accounts. As an Integrated omni-channel partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing innovative e-commerce strategies, optimizing digital shelves, and uncovering opportunities to drive incremental sales across both paid and organic channels.
This LA (Culver City) based role has a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $95,000, depending on experience, with annual compensation reviews based on performance. Potential bi-annual bonus pay is based on company and individual performance.
YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:
- Strategic Account Leadership: Own the holistic ecommerce strategy for top-tier clients. Drive integrated plans that span media, SEO, product page optimization, across marketplaces and DTC.
- Marketplace & Owned Site Growth: Shape go-to-market strategies for Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Shopify sites. Forecast revenue growth, identify white space opportunities, and tailor strategies for each platform’s unique algorithms and audience behaviors.
- Product Detail Page Optimization & Organic Growth: Lead content optimization strategies that improve search rank and conversion. Prioritize SEO-driven tactics, keyword research, and conversion rate improvements across Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Shopify product pages.
- Retail Media Planning & Forecasting: Guide efficient, full-funnel media strategies using Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Meta, TikTok, and Roundel to support business goals, from awareness to purchase.
- Emerging Marketplace Strategy: Build and iterate frameworks for marketplace expansion and emerging channels (e.g., Instacart, TikTok Shop), ensuring our clients remain ahead of the curve.
- Data & Insights: Use tools like Google Analytics, Helium10, Amazon Brand Analytics, and JungleScout to extract actionable insights. Build strategies around data to optimize for KPIs like ROAS, TACoS, and share of voice.
- Integrated, Omni-Channel, Client Strategy Partner: Act as a strategic advisor to brand partners, aligning plans with business objectives, educating clients on ecommerce best practices, and refining tactics based on performance and evolving goals.
- Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of the ecommerce curve by actively tracking shifts in platform algorithms, advertising capabilities, and consumer behavior.
YOUR BACKGROUND:
- Strategic Ecommerce Experience: 2–3 years of experience developing and executing ecommerce strategies across Owned Commerce (Shopify, DTC sites), Amazon, Walmart, and Target. Proven ability to drive growth across both paid and organic channels.
- Content & SEO Expertise: Demonstrated success in PDP content strategy, SEO optimization, and improving organic rankings and conversion metrics (e.g., unit session %, detail page traffic).
- Media & Forecasting Acumen: Strong grasp of full-funnel media strategy and forecasting across platforms like Amazon Ads, Meta, and TikTok.
- Walmart Connect, Roundel are nice to haves
- Platform Proficiency: Familiarity with Seller Central, with Vendor Central as a nice to have.
- Deep understanding of nuances between first- and third-party relationships and how to leverage them.
- Advanced Tool Usage: Hands-on experience with tools like Helium10, JungleScout, Google Analytics, and Amazon Brand Analytics. Capable of translating data into actionable insights.
- Autonomous & Strategic Thinking: Proactive problem-solver with a strong ability to work independently, identify growth opportunities, and adjust tactics in fast-moving ecommerce environments.
- Communication Skills: Strong client-facing communicator, with the ability to present strategies, justify decisions with data, and influence stakeholders across both internal and external teams.
- Continuous Learner: Passionate about staying ahead of platform changes, algorithm shifts, and emerging channel opportunities to keep strategies fresh and competitive.
