Contract Recruiter

The Role

We're looking for a people-first, operationally sharp Contract Recruiter to support our growing team. In this role, you'll own the full candidate experience—from sourcing and screening to interview coordination and offer stage—while keeping our hiring processes tight, data-informed, and consistently excellent. Compensation

$25–$35/hour depending on experience.

Engagement

This is an onsite contract role, up to 16 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Discovery & Engagement | Source and engage passive candidates across platforms and networks, building a strong pipeline for current and future openings.
  • Screening & Assessment | Evaluate applicants for skills, experience, and cultural add—ensuring only the strongest candidates move forward.
  • Interview Coordination | Schedule and organize interviews, keeping candidates and hiring managers aligned and on track throughout the process.
  • Candidate Experience | Deliver a seamless, memorable experience from first touchpoint to final stage—reflecting our commitment to excellence at every interaction.
  • ATS & Job Posting Management | Maintain an accurate, up-to-date applicant tracking system and manage external job posting sites for all stakeholders.
  • Data-Driven Improvement | Leverage recruitment data and insights to continuously refine sourcing strategies and hiring processes.
  • Stakeholder Partnership | Build strong working relationships with leadership and hiring managers to stay aligned on team needs and evolving priorities.
  • Reporting & Transparency | Deliver weekly updates on candidate and role status, enabling agile decision-making across the organization.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience within a digital marketing and/or tech environment
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Deadline-driven with the ability to identify and address obstacles quickly
  • Proactive, with strong follow-up instincts and a sense of urgency
  • Positive, relationship-oriented approach across all functions and levels

Location: This role is based in our NYC headquarters. You must reside or be willing to relocate within commuting distance.
